Turaki School is a “full” primary school catering for all pupils from Year 0 – Year 8. The school was established as a primary school in 1956. Our roll ranges from 250 – 350 pupils, allowing us to have between 11 – 13 classes for a variety of ages.
Our school vision statement is Rural Kids, Global Outlook. This is the key driver around which our strategic planning and programmes unfold. We look to offer as many opportunities for our pupils as we can, being strongly involved in inter-school sport, education outside the classroom, stage productions, art exhibitions, kapa haka and the like to ensure we meet the needs of our pupils.
Our learning journey is a continuous one and we expect the same for our pupils.
This is supported by a strong teaching team and Board of Trustees.
